Atland´s Leyend

Atland was a mythological and fantastic being who lived in the mountains. He was a hermit from the Pyrenees who had magical powers. He could change the location of the Pyrenees’ peaks (he was also called the peaks tamer) and the Gods had told him to build a dwelling for Moro, mankind’s son and Elvira, fantasy’s daughter. It was a meeting point between fantasy and reality. Once he had built that dwelling (the world’s most beautiful) in Monte Perdido’s summit, place you can only accede by flying horses, and it can only be seen for those who had the second sight gift, Atland carried the couple to the beautiful house. But, Aneto the giant, eaten up with jealousy because the Gods had chosen mankind and not giants, decides to attack Atland and he kills our old friend. The Gods, angry for Aneto’s intrusion, decide to send him a thunder which kills him. He falls to the floor but the Earth rejects him, expulsing him, becoming an iced mountain, the highest of the Pyrenees.
